Restoration Program for Steepletop
In order to preserve the house and grounds at Steepletop and to make them available to scholars and to the general public, the Millay Society has embarked on a major restoration program. The scope of this project includes:
- Upgrading the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems in the house
- Improving climate control in the house
- Repairing exterior cladding and masonry
- Replacing existing upholstery and textiles
- Restoring the writing cabin
- Restoring the swimming pool bar
- Restoring the gardens, swimming pool, and tennis court
To achieve our goals, we are seeking support from a broad
spectrum of sources, including Federal and State government agencies,
foundations, and individuals. If you are interested in participating
in this effort, please review our information on ways you can support our work.
